We love the jam band scene because of the joy live music brings us, and also because of the amazing community we’ve built around our favorite bands. At its best, the sense of connection fostered by transcendent jams can bring us together across race, class, gender, sexual identity, and more.
But, we know not everyone feels fully part of our community all the time. Part of PHRE’s mission is to make our scene as anti-racist and inclusive as possible. Telling your story helps us do that by uncovering challenges, showing skeptical fans that not everyone is having the same experience, or even showing a hopeful path forward.
